Jonathon Wayne Anderson, 27 of Fritch, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Sunray Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Houston, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Lane Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 6 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening on Thursday at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Sunray.
Jonathon was born on January 16, 1998, in Dumas, TX to Shane and Julie (Zavala) Anderson. He grew up in Sunray where he graduated from Sunray High School in 2016. While in school, Jonathon participated in football and tennis. He loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing with his family and friends were his favorite past time. Jonathon worked at SSI Foods in Amarillo as a forklift operator and was a member of the Sunray Baptist Church.
Jonathon is preceded in death by his brother: Joseph Zavala; uncle: Scott Anderson; his great grandparents: Dean and Marlene Bryan, Beryl Anderson, Mariano and Buenaventura Garcia and Willie and Josephine Zavala.
Jonathon is survived by his parents: Shane and Julie Anderson of Fritch, TX; brother: Josh Anderson and wife Anna and family of Sunray, TX; grandparents: Larry and Kim Anderson of Sunray, TX; Cruz and Elda Zavala of Canyon TX; aunts and uncles: Christina and Chris Kimbrell, Elda Burroughs, Mary and Mauricio Fuentes, Cruz Jr. and Jennifer Zavala all of Amarillo, TX; special cousin: Jessica DeLao and Jamie of Sunray, TX; along with numerous other extended family members.
The family suggests, with gratitude, that memorials be made to Moody Neurorehabilitation, 1808 N Quaker, Lubbock TX 79415.
