Josefina Ruiz

Josefina Ruiz, 66 of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. A Rosary will be recited from 4 o’clock to 6 o’clock in the evening on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at St Laurence Catholic Church in Amarillo, with Father Haider Quintero, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Josefina was born on March 19, 1957 in Chihuahua, MX to Ebodeo Hernandez and Casimira Hernandez. She was united in marriage to Manuel Ruiz. Josefina was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she adored her family.  She was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Rogelio Hernandez.

Josefina is survived by her husband, Manuel of the home; daughter: Liliana Castro and husband Rogelio of Salina, KS; sons: Luis Ruiz and wife Jessica of Amarillo, TX. and Alberto Ruiz of Chihuahua, MX; grandchildren: Xitlay, Ruby, Sebastion, Genesis, Daleyza, Noel and Victoria; siblings: Anselmo Hernandez, Fransisca Sigala, Concepcion Grandaria, Felipa Borunda, Gregorio Hernandez, Graciela Sotelo.
