Joyce Lanners

Joyce Lanners, 89, of Sunray, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Sunray. Burial will follow in Lane Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Joyce was born on August 19, 1928 five miles south of Guymon, Oklahoma to Leslie and Mittie (Smith) Halbert. She had been a Sunray resident since 1943. She married Daryl Lanners in 1946 and they had four children. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to watch Jeopardy and enjoyed crossword puzzles and colorama coloring. She is preceded in death by her husband Daryl; her parents; son: Leslie Lanners; grandson: Tim Lanners. She is survived by her children: Kenneth Lanners of Sunray, Jackie Lanners and Daryla Hass, both of Dumas; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to the donor's favorite charity.
