Juanita Murga

Juanita Murga, 68 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Grace Thru Faith Church with Pastor Trey Wooten, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Juanita was born on July 26, 1957, in Chicago, IL to Jose and Juanita (Razo) Serrato. She was united in marriage to Jesus Murga on February 10, 1977, in El Paso, TX. Juanita went on to become a LVN and worked for the Moore County Hospital District for 20 years. She loved being a nurse, known for always going above and beyond for her patients to ensure they had everything they needed. Juanita was a woman who loved her family and nothing meant more to her. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan and was a member of Grace Thru Faith Church and will be dearly missed and loved by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesus; son: Jorge Murga.

Juanita is survived by her daughters: Juanita Aguilar of Dumas, TX, Maria Chacon and husband Ismael of Dumas, TX, Erika De Leon of Amarillo, TX and Luisa Sosa of Dumas, TX; sons: Jesus Murga, Jr of Dumas, TX, Daniel Murga and Melissa Young of Amarillo, TX; the five children she raised, Zyrell Murga, Damion Murga, Demetri and wife Danesy Murga, Jessica Murga, and Jorge Murga; brothers: Felix Diaz and wife Leticia of Amarillo, TX and Leon Sanchez and wife Gloria of Amarillo, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special niece: Olivia Medina and Gilbert Falcon; very special and dear friend Christy Porras.
