It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of Kimana Corazon Cano, who left this world on April 4, 2026, at the tender age of 20. Born on September 16, 2005, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Kimana's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with her love for cooking, music, art, and travel. Her passions brought joy not only to her own experiences but also to those fortunate enough to know her.
Kimana's spirit was marked by creativity and warmth, traits she nurtured throughout her life. She lived with an enthusiasm that inspired her family and friends, embracing the beauty of each moment and expressing herself through the arts and culinary delights. These interests were more than hobbies; they were a part of her identity that she shared generously with those around her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Sevastian Cano, and their two beloved daughters, Azari Cano and Veronica Cano, who will carry her memory forward with love. Kimana's close-knit family includes her brothers, Romeo Acosta and Santos Ironfield, whose bonds with her were enduring and heartfelt. Her sisters, Mia Alvarado and Luna Alvarado, also survive her, alongside her respected grandfather, John Ironfield, who held a special place in her life.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez, as celebrant. This solemn occasion is an opportunity for family, friends, and all who knew Kimana to reflect on her remarkable life and the indelible mark she leaves behind.
Kimana Corazon Cano’s legacy is one of love, creativity, and a zest for life that touched every person she encountered. Her loss is deeply felt by all who cherished her, yet her spirit will remain forever alive in the hearts of her family and community. May she rest in peace, remembered with honor and affection.
