Leonard Garza Sanchez Jr.

Leonard Garza Sanchez, Jr. 66 of Dumas passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Pastor Jesus Rivera, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Leonard was born on August 2, 1956, in Sterling City, TX to Leonard and Elvia (Garza) Sanchez. At the age of 9, the family moved to Dumas where he attended Morningside Elementary School.  Leonard love music with his favorite being Elvis Presley.  He also enjoyed WWE wrestling and absolutely love playing cards.  He was of Christian Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law:  Jose; niece: Tracy Aguirre.

Leonard is survived by his siblings: Sylvia Aguirre of Dumas, TX, EV Sanchez and wife Donna of San Angelo, TX, Brenda Macias and Pauline Sanchez and husband Cruz Mendoza all of Dumas, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family would like to deeply thank Moore County Hospital, Memorial Hospice and all the nurses for their exceptional care of Leonard.
