Letha was born on December 22,1941 to Vollie (Pete) and Mattie Ball, in Tipton, Oklahoma. Letha was the 7th child of 9 children. Letha graduated from Weaver High School in rural Tilman County, Oklahoma.
Letha and her family moved to Stratford in 1974. She worked for the ASCS office and Empire Construction before becoming the Sherman County Justice of the Peace in 1988, where she served for 18 years. Letha took pride in her position as Judge, spending many long hours making sure that every part of her job was done properly.
Letha's greatest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren whom she loved and protected with all her being. She spent many hours following them around to all their events, being their person they could call for anything and scolding them when she thought they were doing something she thought was too dangerous!
Letha was a member of the First Christian Church of Stratford.
Going before her were her parents, Pete and Mattie Ball, her sisters, Melba Ball, Patsy Ruth Young, Betty (Sister) Claborn, Sue Parish, Peggy Snodgrass, brothers, Vernie (Bud) Ball, Tommy Ball and granddaughter, Chelsea Christian Miller.
She is survived by her children, Lori Christian and husband Max of Stratford, son, Steven Batis and wife Kim of Amarillo, grandson, Trevor Christian and wife Brittany of Stratford, great grandson, Aiden Miller, great granddaughters Lani Miller, Avery Christian, Aspen Christian and sister, Shirley Abbott. Many cousins, nephews and nieces whom she dearly loved.
A special thank you to all the nurses and employees of Coldwater Manor who took exceptional care of her.
