Linda Forthman

Linda Dianne Forthman, 76 of Amarillo formerly of Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at First Christian Church in Stratford with Pastor David Meyer, officiating. Interment will follow at Stratford Cemetery. She will be available for viewing from 2 o’clock to 6 o’clock in the evening on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Linda was born on August 23, 1947, in Amarillo, TX to Jim and Jerry (Kelp) Oquin. She grew up in Stratford where she graduated from Stratford High School.  She was united in marriage to Ken Forthman on April 26, 1974 in Stratford, he preceded her in death in 2015.  Linda babysat for numerous children in Stratford and had a special place in her heart for children.  She had a servant heart and was always willing to help others.  Linda also enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Stratford where she loved to fellowship with her church family.

In addition to her husband Ken, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda is survived by her sister: Dana Craig of Amarillo, TX; nephew: Clint Craig and wife Martha of Waxahachie, TX; great-nephews: Kai and Kethan.
