Loy Lee Hardwick

Loy Lee Hardwick, 91 of Fritch, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 6 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening on Monday at the funeral home.

Loy was born on January 26, 1934, in Idabel, OK to Russell and Birtie (Tassell) Hardwick. Loy served in our military with the United States Marines Corp in 1954 until he was injured and subsequently honorably discharged. Loy lived in Fritch and part time in Dumas. Loy loved the lake and taking his kids, grandkids and great grandkids on adventures around Lake Meredith. (Or anyone who would follow him). Loy enjoyed life to the fullest. Loy was a man of many talents; owning his own service station, Gulf Station on 14th and main, managing Parkview Trailer Park, working at American Zinc, Texas Conservation, Swift and Company and finally retiring from The City of Dumas; but by no means slowing down. Loy spent his final days on earth with his grandson Waylon, Amber and their beautiful extended family. Loy was surrounded by his loving and caring family and friends when he joined his family in heaven. Loy’s love and enthusiasm around the lake will truly be missed.

Loy is preceded in death by his first wife with whom he had four children, Shirley Hardwick Ives, his second wife whom he spent over 30 years with, Janette Hardwick; sons: Loy Hardwick Jr. and Guy Hardwick; daughter in law: Marilyn Hardwick.

Loy is survived by his daughter: Teresa Hardwick Culbertson and husband Daniel; son: Randall Hardwick Sr.; daughters in law: Nelda Hardwick and Tammy Hardwick; 13 awesome grandchildren and 38 super wonderful great grandchildren.
