Magdalena Artalejo

Magdalena Artalejo, 90 of Dumas passed away on March 4, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Iglesia Bautista Hispaa with Jose Molina, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Magdalena was born on December 17, 1930 in Mexico to Benedito and Dolores (Lopez) Sinecio. She married the love of her life, Manuel Artalejo in December of 1946 in Mexico; he preceded in death on November 9, 2017. As a young girl, Magdalena enjoyed riding horses. She was an excellent homemaker, a great cook and was known for her excellent tortillas. Magdalena had a deep love for God. She loved reading her bible and singing hymns. Magdalena was very devoted to her family and was an amazing example to her children. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. In addition to her husband, Manuel, she was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Elvira, Hijinio, and Gil; grandson: Gabe Leal; granddaughters: Irene Leal and Angelita Orozco. Magdalena is survived by her children: Carlos Artalejo and wife Olivia of Odessa, Martha Leal and husband Cassie, Ofelia Hernandez and husband Charlie, Arjelia Cruz, Sylvia Montez and husband Phillip, and Manuel Artalejo Jr. all of Dumas, Norena Bustamante and husband Pablo of Ferris, and Araceli Vasquez and husband Ramon of Dumas; sisters: Olaya Rascon and Celia Lopez; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
