Margie Mendoza

Margie Mendoza, 67 of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. A Rosary will be recited at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Morrison Memorial Chapel followed by a Memorial Service with Monsignor Arturo Mezas, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Margie was born on October 6, 1957, in Post, TX to Reyes, Sr. and Victoria (Soto) Rivera. She loved people and visiting with her family and friends. She also loved to collect bracelets and play bingo. She was of Catholic Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Juanita Mendoza; brothers: Cecil and Johnny Ray Rivera.

Margie is survived by her son: Andres Mendoza of Cactus, TX; siblings: Alex Rivera and wife Stella of Dumas, TX, Mary Turrubiates and husband Rodney of Arlington, TX, Reyes Rivera, Jr. and wife Nora of Liberal, KS, RoseMary Hernandez and husband Arturo of Amarillo, TX, and RoseAnne Platt of Canyon, TX, along with numerous other extended family members.

The family would like to thank Palo Duro Nursing Home in Claude, TX and Gentiva Hospice for the exceptional care provided for Margie.
