Margie Wheatley

Margie Wheatley 83 passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be Monday, December 4, 2006 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Beth Harrington, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Margie was born November 12, 1923 in Groom, Texas to Franklin and Laura Kirk. She was a secretary for the Dumas Public School System retiring in 1982 with 25 years of service. She had lived in Dumas and Moore County for over 50 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Margie is survived by two sons, Eddie Cantrell and wife, Pam of Lubbock and Donald Cantrell of Iowa Park, Tx; one daughter, Patricia Sheldon and husband Chris of Dumas; one sister Ruth Allen of Garland, Tx.; ten grandchildren Jeff, Jennifer, Kirk, Christy, Brandon, Kaysea, Linnsey, Shannon, Dustin, Trace; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Paul Cantrell in 1953, one brother Curtis Babcock in 1981, one son James Cantrell in 1992 and her 2nd husband John Wheatley in 1993. Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029 The family will be at the Derrick Ranch.
