Marcelina Mendoza

Marcelina Mendoza, 88 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. The praying of the Rosary will be held at 6 o’clock in the evening on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 o’clock in the morning on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Marcelina was born on June 2, 1937, in Mexico to Rejino and Maria Angela (Tarango) Mendoza. She was united in marriage to Quiterio Mendoza in Mexico; he preceded her in death on January 10, 2021. She was a dedicated homemaker who filled her time cooking for her family and friends. Marcelina loved to celebrate her birthday. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Quiterio Mendoza, Jr.

Marcelina is survived by her sons: Eduvijes Mendoza of Etter, TX, Manuel Mendoza and wife Maria Leticia of Dumas, TX, Faustino Mendoza and wife Lorenza of Gruver, TX, Rito Mendoza of Chihuahua, MX, Matilde Mendoza and husband Efrain of Dumas, TX, and Maribel Mendoza and husband Cesar of Gruver, TX; 18 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
