Maxie Ruth Clark

Maxie Ruth Clark, 81 formerly of Sunray, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 oclock in the afternoon on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Lane Memorial Cemetery with Jonathan Zerby officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 oclock until 8 oclock in the evening on Wednesday at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Sunray. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Maxie was born on February 18, 1939 in Iredell, Tx to Ralph and Sallie Tidwell where they lived until they moved to Dumas when she was young. Maxie had lived most of her 81 years in Moore County, with the last 54 in Sunray. Maxie enjoyed growing flowers and plants of many varieties with a fondness for different species of cacti. She truly had a green thumb! She germinated many plants and trees that are flourishing in different states that will leave a lasting legacy. She also made numerous clothes for the grandchildren in their younger years along with quilts while operating her loom to make the cloth used. To those that knew Maxie she will always be remembered for her generous smile and easy going nature with never a unkind word to say. Maxie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger Lee, son Tony Clark, daughter Karen Stephany, granddaughters Miranda and Samantha and brother Bruce Tidwell. Maxie is survived by her son Curtis and his wife Tereasa Clark of Edmond, Ok, grandchildren Ashley Childress, Cody Clark, Trevor Clark, Erin Stephany and Peter Stephany and 6 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Billie Ruth Greer and Juanelle Tidwell and 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
