Minnie Hampton

Minnie Hampton, 84 of Kerrick, TX, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Stratford Cemetery with Deacon Steve Baskin of First Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Stratford funeral home from 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock in the evening on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Minnie was born on January 11, 1938, in Kerrick, TX to Newt and Frances (Durr) Crabtree. She was united in marriage to Ralph Hampton on May 1, 1957, in Stratford, TX; he preceded her in death in 2006. Minnie was a hard worker and worked as a meat cutter at the family plant, drove grain carts during harvest and did almost any other chore on the farm. In her spare time, she loved to garden. Minnie was a member of First Baptist Church and will be missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Charlie Crabtree and sister: Martha Ellison.

Minnie is survived by her children: Nora Wells and husband Mike of Stratford, TX, Ralph James Hampton and Annette Hampton both of Kerrick, TX; grandson: Parker Wells and wife Melissa of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandchildren: Jacob and Chloe; brother: Joe Crabtree and wife Zona of Missouri; sister: Mary Olson of Oslo, Community.
