Nancy Othel Bynum, 90, of Dumas, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in Lubbock, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 16, 2007, in Morrison Memorial Chapel with Mr. Art Lynch, minister of First Street Church of Christ officiating, assisted by Rev. Mark Wallis, pastor of Life Tabernacle. Burial will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bynum was born April 8, 1916, in Flomot, Texas. She had been a long time resident of Kress, Texas, before moving to Dumas ten years ago. She had worked in the food industry and was member of First United Methodist Church of Kress.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Troy Bynum in 1993 and Shady Bynum in 2002; her brothers, Ralph and Roy Scott; and her sister Louella Thomas who had raised her after the death of her mother.
Survivors include: three daughters, Lou Nell Kanady and husband, Rusty of Lubbock, Veda Voyles and husband, Don, of New Deal, Laquetta Herron and husband, Bob of Paris; twelve grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law; Sandy Bynum of Dumas and Jane Bynum of Kress.
