Nancy Carol Lechner, 83 formerly of Sunray, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 12 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Dumas Cemetery with Pastor Danny Milner, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Nancy was born on September 7, 1941, in Rogers, TX to A.W. and Velma (Schuss) Rae. She was united in marriage to Don Lechner on June 1, 1963, in Dumas, TX. Nancy was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading and her favorite past time of playing bridge. Nancy was an avid genealogist. She traced her and her husband’s family lines to pre-Revolutionary War. She was also a proud member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. She served as president of the combined Dumas and Dalhart chapters. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson: Jaxon.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Don of the home; daughters: Dee Dee Vinson and husband Joe of Amarillo, TX, Kathy Milner and husband Danny of Petersburg, TX; son: Craig Lechner and wife Karen of Amarillo, TX; sister: Janice Levy of Baton Rouge, LA; brother Alan Rae of Lake City, CO; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
