Neva Lavone "Nana" Farni

Lavone was born on December 31, 1936, in Stillwater, OK to William and Lucinda (Sloan) Swisher. She grew up in Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Farni on February 22, 1957, in Elk City and the couple moved to Dumas in 1972 where they made their home. Lavone was a dedicated Christian who loved her Lord and was strong in her faith. A servants heart was the true definition of her. She was an exceptionally good cook who thoroughly enjoyed preparing delicious meals and baked goods for others, food was her love language. Lavone had an ornery streak and loved to laugh; vast majority of memories with her involved a good laugh. Lavone is known by many for her stylish ways and decorating skills. Few may know it but she loved writing poetry and sitting at the piano picking old hymns by ear. Her family, friends, and especially her loving husband will miss her dearly, but are comforted by knowing she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
