Norma Jean Gutierrez

Mrs. Norma Jean (Trevino) Gutierrez, 60, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at BSA Hospital, after a five-year battle with cancer. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray with Bruce Broxson, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday at the funeral home in Dumas. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Norma was born December 13, 1964, in Borger, TX. She attended Sunray schools and graduated from Sunray High School in 1983. On July 21, 1989, she married Francisco Gutierrez. Norma was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. She was a member of the Sunray Church of Christ.

Norma was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guadalupe and Jesusa Capetillo and her brother, Victor Trevino.

She is survived by her husband, Francisco, of Amarillo; her children: Victoria Gutierrez (Jose) of Amarillo and Benjamin Gutierrez (Megan) of Abilene; her grandchildren: Sylas Gutierrez, Levi Valencia, Jayden Valencia, and Emilia Gutierrez.

She is also survived by her mother, Mary Trevino, of Dumas; siblings: Hector Trevino, of Dumas; Mary Ann Hurt (Eric), of Colorado; and Albert Trevino (Nikki) of Nevada.
