Ofelia Ramirez Torres, 87 of Dumas passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia, celebrant. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Ofelia was born on September 15, 1935 in Delicias, Chihuahua, MX to Felis Arrieto and Francisca Ramirez Torres. She had been a resident of Dumas for 5 years. In March 1950, she married Guadalupe Campos Chavarria in Mexico.  As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother family meant everything to her. Ofelia adored all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved going on vacations, playing bingo and the lottery. Ofelia was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be dearly missed and loved by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe; parents; daughter: Gelacia Camper Ramirez; 4 grandchildren.

Ofelia is survived by her sons: Refugio Campos Ramirez of Mexico, Jose Guadalupe Campos Ramirez of Dalhart, TX, Rosalio Campos Ramirez of Mexico; daughters: Josefina Campos de Encinias of Dalhart, TX, Manuela O. Gomez of Amarillo, TX, Ramona Campos Bettencourt of Dalhart, TX, Guadalupe Campos of Dumas, TX, Ofelia Campos of Dalhart, TX, Adriana Borunda of Dumas, TX, Nidia Ivon Valdez of Dumas, TX; 32 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.

 

 

Ofelia Ramírez Torres, 87 de Dumas falleció el sábado 7 de enero de 2023. Se recitará un Rosario a las 6 de la tarde del martes 10 de enero de 2023 en Morrison Memorial Chapel. La misa fúnebre se celebrará a las 2 de la tarde del miércoles 11 de enero de 2023 en la Parroquia Católica San Pedro Y San Pablo con el Padre Gabriel García, celebrante. El entierro seguirá en Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Los arreglos están bajo la dirección de Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Ofelia nació en Delicias, Chihuahua, México, hija de Felis Arrieto y Francisca Ramírez Torres. Ella había sido residente de Dumas durante 5 años. En marzo de 1950, se casó con Guadalupe Campos Chavarría en México.  Como esposa, madre y abuela devota, la familia significaba todo para ella. Ofelia adoraba a todos sus nietos y bisnietos. Le encantaba irse de vacaciones, jugar al bingo y a la lotería. Ofelia era miembro de la Iglesia Católica de San Pedro y San Pablo y será muy extrañada y amada por su familia y amigos.

Fue precedida en la muerte por su esposo, Guadalupe; padres; hija: Gelacia Campos Ramirez; 4 nietos.

A Ofelia le sobreviven sus hijos: Refugio Campos Ramírez de México, José Guadalupe Campos Ramírez de Dalhart, TX, Rosalio Campos Ramírez de México; hijas: Josefina Campos de Encinias de Dalhart, TX, Manuela O. Gomez de Amarillo, TX, Ramona Campos Bettencourt de Dalhart, TX, Guadalupe Campos de Dumas, TX, Ofelia Campos de Dalhart, TX, Adriana Borunda de Dumas, TX, Nidia Ivon Valdez de Dumas, TX; 32 nietos y 61 bisnietos.
