Ola Minton, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 12, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rick Korsmo, pastor of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Ola Minton was born November 6, 1919 in Sayre, Oklahoma to John Albert and Lillie Mae Maddox. On November 13, 1937 she married Clay Thomas Minton who preceded her in death January 13, 1971. She had worked at the Texas Steam Laundry, Kona Kai Inn and L.D.s Day Care. Ola had been a resident of Dumas since 1950 and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Minton of Springfield, IL; granddaughter, Vickie Woodland of Amarillo; and sister, Arlene Goats of Dumas. Survivors include; daughters, Patsy Pace and husband Bob, of Amarillo and Donnas Admire and husband, Troy of Claude; sons, Thomas Minton and wife Carol of Newark, OH, Ross Minton and wife, Cheryl of Springfield, IL, and Ronnie Minton and wife, Nancy of the Ukraine; sisters, Lucy Floyd of Mena, AR and Zona Deloof of Phoenix, AZ; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer Association, 2200 W. 7th St, Amarillo, TX 79106.
