Oscar Soto Salinas, 56 of Dumas passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at North Lawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Oscar was born on March 29, 1967, in Col. Lazaro Cardenas Meoqui Chihuahua México to Oscar Soto Medina and Celestina Salinas. Oscar was a great man who touched the lives of many. Those who knew him know he was a man of the people. Oscar was a very hard-working man who worked hard for his family and to build a legacy. El Carril Los Alazanes was the race track he owned and ran. There, he was able to meet and serve many of the Hispanic people in the surrounding area and more.  He loved time spent with his friends and family. He was a teacher, a friend, a companion, a son, a brother, and a father to many. Oscar will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Oscar is survived by his mother: Celestina Salinas of Mexico; mother of his children: Jazmín Dorado; children: Christina Soto of Amarillo, TX, Jazmine Soto of Dumas, TX, Oscar Soto of Dumas, TX, Aaron Soto of Dumas, TX, Leslie Soto of Eunice, NM, and Oscar Dominquez-Soto of Waco, TX; 11 grandchildren and his brothers and sisters.

Los servicios funerarios están programados para las 2 en punto de la tarde del sábado 24 de junio de 2023, en Morrison Memorial Chapel. El funeral seguirá en North Lawn Memorial Gardens bajo la dirección de Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Oscar nació el 29 de marzo de 1967 en Col. Lazaro Cardenas Meoqui Chihuahua México, hijo de Oscar Soto Medina y Celestina Salinas. Oscar fue un gran hombre que tocó la vida de muchos. Los que lo conocían saben que era un hombre del pueblo. Oscar era un hombre muy trabajador que trabajó duro para su familia y para construir un legado. El Carril Los Alazanes era la pista de carreras que poseía y corría. Allí, pudo conocer y servir a muchos de los hispanos de los alrededores y más. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus amigos y familiares. Era maestro, amigo, compañero, hermano y padre para muchos. Su familia y amigos echarán mucho de menos a Oscar.

A Oscar le sobrevive su madre: Celestina Salinas de México; madre de sus hijos: Jazmín Dorado; hijos: Christina Soto de Amarillo, TX, Jazmine Soto de Dumas, TX, Oscar Soto de Dumas, TX, Aaron Soto de Dumas, TX, Leslie Soto de Eunice, NM, y Oscar Dominquez-Soto de Waco, TX; 11 nietos y sus hermanos y hermanas.
