Paul “P.T.” Toliver, Jr., 85 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
P.T. was born on April 23, 1941, in Plainview, Texas, he was the son of Paul and Annette (Wasson) Toliver. On May 31, 1963, P.T. married Judy Clayton, the love of his life after meeting at Texas Tech; she preceded him in death on March 25, 2026. Judy was his soulmate, and he absolutely adored her. Anything Judy asked, he gladly did, and together they built a life marked by devotion, companionship, and shared joy.
P.T. and Judy loved traveling to the ocean, sailing, and stargazing. They also shared a love of music and dancing, enjoying life’s simple and beautiful moments together. Their marriage was a lasting example of deep affection and partnership.
He was known as a kind-hearted man with a gentle spirit. Though he was a man of few words, when he spoke, it mattered. P.T. spent much of his life as a farmer and cattleman, work that reflected his steady nature and strong character. He later became a mill manager at Cactus Feeders, where he treated his employees fairly and was loved for it. He had a gift for reading character and was known as a man who could judge another by a handshake.
In addition to his wife, Judy, he was preceded in death by his parents.
P.T. is survived by his daughters: Jan Toliver and son Clayton Shank, Rogena Kesinger and husband Clay, and their daughters Amanda Donogue and Skyler Kesinger; great grandchildren Landon and Bradyn; along with numerous other extended family members.
Paul “P.T.” Toliver, Jr. will be remembered for his quiet strength, his fairness, his love for Judy, and the goodness he carried into the lives of those around him. His memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
