Raul Gomez

Raul Gomez, 60 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Raul was born on September 8, 1960 to Eluterio and Estella Cepeda Gomez in Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to Dumas around 1980 and was united in marriage to Socorro Bustamante in April of 1987 in Mexico. The couple made Dumas their home where they raised their family. Raul was a kind man who loved people and the relationships he built with them. He loved to sit and visit with anyone. Raul was also an excellent cook and enjoyed doing so for his family and friends. He was of Christian Faith. Raul was preceded in death by his parents. Raul is survived by his wife Socorro, of the home; children: Raul Gomez Jr. and wife Judy of Amarillo, TX, Alonso Gomez and wife Edna of Dumas, TX and Gabriela Gomez and husband Juan Loya of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Lexi G. Gomez, Mila I. Gomez, Royce Gomez, Arian Gomez, Zara Gomez and Alec Loya; brothers: Marin Gomez of Dumas, TX, Rafael Gomez of Chihuahua, MX and Jesus Gomez and wife Maria of Dumas, TX.
