Ricardo Lucero

Ricardo Ralph Lucero, age 64, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at The Chapel of Angels, 1430 Thornton Street, Clovis, NM.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Sts. Peters and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez celebrating.  Interment will follow in the Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Ricardo was born on January 2, 1959, to Nicolas Vela and Valentina Lucero in Herford, TX. He enjoyed working on cars and riding his Harley. Ricardo loved all his children and grandchildren, spending time with his family, and he was a Dallas Cowboy fan.

Ricardo was survived by 11 children; Nancy Cortes (Rocky) of Dumas, TX, Delilah Huerta (Antonio) of Wichita, KS, Ricky Lucero of Dumas, TX, Sandy De La Rosa (Jose) of Dumas, TX, Moises Lucero of Albuquerque, NM, Raphael Saiz (Marissa Navares) of Portales, NM, Chris Lucero (Amanda) of Muleshoe, TX, Domonique Lucero (Tianna Owen) of Clovis, NM, Esiquel Lucero of Portales, NM, Ricki Lucero of Portales, NM, Lourdes of Colorado, six sisters, one brother, 23 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; David Rodriguez, Emilio Garcia, maternal grandparents; Ezekiel Lucero, Marcela Lucero, and numerous aunts and uncles.
