Richard Darrell Husske

Richard 'Dick' Husske, 87, of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Memorial services are scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Dick was born in Deer Creek, IA to Albert and Mary (Turvell) Husske. He married Dorothy, who preceded him in death. Dick was a police officer in Iowa for a short time before moving to Texas, where he enjoyed working as a mechanic and collecting antiques. Dick could often be found at auctions searching for the next priceless artifact. He loved Nascar and spending time with his friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife Dorothy, his is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son and his brother Albert Husske, Jr. He is survived by: son: Chris Husske of Springfield, MO; sisters; Berta Hoover, Joan Hoover and Patty all of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; his partner in life; Omalee Green of Dumas; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Richard is also survived by his longtime friend Sean Lindsley of Capulin, NM.
