Richard Elden Perry

Richard Elden Perry, 74 of Dumas passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Dumas Cemetery officiated by Tim Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Richard was born on September 16, 1950, in Amarillo, TX to H.R. and Dorothy (Earnest) Perry. A long-time resident of Dumas he owned and operated Discount Liquors. He married Susie Simpson on April 25, 1970, in Sunray, TX; she preceded him in death in 2017. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and 4 wheeling. He was of Baptist Faith.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Cary Stiles.

Richard is survived by his daughter; Trista Hallford and husband Togo of Dumas, TX; son: Ricky Perry of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Tanner Hallford and wife Landri, Trace Hallford and wife Lexie, Katelynn Perry, Sarah Maynez and husband Johab and Ryan Perry; great-grandchildren: Lucas Maynez, Kayson Hallford, Kutter Hallford; brother: Russell Perry and wife Sue, Larry Waters and wife Sharon; sister: Diane King.
