Robert Cobos, 64 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. The rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez as celebrant. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Robert was born on May 29, 1959, in Idalou, TX to Victor Sr. and Ester (Valenzuela) Cobos. The family moved to Dumas where Robert attended school and graduated from Dumas High School in 1976. On November 16, 1979, he was united in marriage to Annie Flores. Robert worked for D E Rice for over 15 years before eventually finding his new home at AA Insulation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, Robert enjoyed his grandchildren. He could always be found in the stands or on the sidelines cheering them on; he absolutely adored them. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his son Joe Bob Cobos, brothers Joseph Anthony Cobos and Victor Cobos Jr. and his sister Ramona Torres.
Robert is survived by his wife, Annie of the home; children: Robert Cobos Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Nikki Banda and husband Monce, Nick Cobos and wife Tanya, Jerami Cobos and wife Gaby and Daniel Cobos, all of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Destiny Cobos and husband Chris, Cedrick Pena, Lisette Gomez, Peyton Pena, Daniel Cobos Jr., B.G. Cobos, Jonathan Cobos, Emma Cobos, Coby Cobos, Andrew Cobos, Eli Cobos, Kendra Banda, Ezra Cobos and Aubree Cobos; great grandchildren: Olivia Byford, Oaklynn Byford and Nicholas Byford; brothers and sisters: Raymond Cobos and wife Kim of Amarillo, TX, Mary Guevara and husband Fernando of Dumas, TX, Josie Torres and husband Ernesto of Amarillo, TX, Sylvia Flores and husband Fernando of Dumas, TX, Lucy Gutierrez and husband Ralph of Dumas, TX and Helen Pillers and husband Terry of Odessa, TX along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
