Roma Lee Ross

Roma Lee Ross, 89, of Dumas, passed away on July 1, 2018. Graveside services will be held at Gotebo Cemetery, Gotebo, Oklahoma on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with Dr. Danny Maxwell, nephew, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Roma was born June 4, 1929 in Shawnee, OK to Jack and Dillie (Self) Shipman. She married Wayne A. Ross of Mt. View, OK in Wheeler, TX, on January 31, 1949, he preceded her in death in 2009. They made Dumas their home for 58 years and she became Deputy County Treasurer for several years. Roma loved baseball and the Chicago Cubs were her favorite team. She had a wonderful sense of humor and never met a stranger. Roma was an artist and poet and loved all animals. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband and her parents, Roma is also preceded in death by 9 brothers and 2 sisters. Roma is survived by 10 nephews, 13 nieces and many grand nephews, nieces and friends. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to American Cancer Society P.O.
