Ruth A. Raymond

Ruth A. Raymond, 82 of Sunray passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 in the morning on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez as celebrant. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Ruth was born on November 27, 1940, in Terre Haute, IN to Harry and Gretchen (Stakeman) Donovan. She was united in marriage to Danny Raymond on June 21, 1961, in Amarillo, TX; he preceded her in death in 2012. Ruth was a wonderful homemaker and hardworking farmer’s wife. She loved needlework, cross stitching, and crocheting. Ruth made all her family members a stocking for Christmas. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and loved her church family. 

In addition to her husband, Danny, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Ruth is survived by her daughter: Cindy Morton and husband Stan of Sunray, TX; sons: Mike Raymond and wife Ramonda, Steve Raymond and wife Bonnie all of Sunray, TX; grandchildren: Jonathan, Aaron, Neil, Nathan, Dani, Kyler and Meredith; 11 great-grandchildren. 

The family requests, with gratitude, memorials be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or to their favorite charity.
