Sergio Daniel Perez, 24, of Cactus, died Monday, March 25, 2019. Rosary service will be held Friday, March 29, 2019, at 6:00 oclock in the evening at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. The Funeral Mass will be conducted Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 2:00 oclock in the afternoon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cactus followed by burial in Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Sergio Daniel Perez was born January 15, 1995, in Los Angeles, CA, to Daniel Humberto Perez Soto and Uvaldina Mercado Mendoza. He was a member of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Cactus and served in the Army National Guard. Sergio was a resident of Cactus for the last 15 years and loved music, video games, spending time with his family and friends, playing pool and playing jokes on his Mom. He was a great son, brother and friend. Survivors include: his father, Daniel Humberto Perez Soto of Mexico; mother, Uvaldina Mercado Mendoza of Cactus; two sisters, Eva Johana Perez Mercado of Cactus, TX and Cinthia Perez Mercado of Canyon, TX; paternal grandmother, Eva Soto Castillo of Mexico; maternal grandmother, Socorro Mendoza of Liberal, KS; niece, Danielle Grandos; nephew, Jorge Grandos; and nieces: Jazlyn Plascencia and Yaretzi Villagran.
