Shaedara Sanchez

Shaedara Sanchez, 17, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 in Dumas. Rosary will be held at 7:30 PM on Friday, January 30, 2009 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Barragan, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Shaedara Sanchez was born June 3, 1991 in Dumas, Texas to Joe and Jennifer Sanchez. She was a senior at Channing High School where she participated in mixed-martial arts, basketball, cross country running and track. She was a member of the Hi-Plains Fast Pitch softball team. Shaedara was a lifetime resident of Dumas and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include her parents, Joe and Jennifer Sanchez of Dumas; brothers, Joe Sanchez, Jr., Alex Sanchez; and sister, Angel Sanchez all of Dumas; grandparents, Joe and Sally Sanchez, grandfather, Daniel Ruiz, all of Dumas and grandmother, Patricia Smith of Amarillo. The family will be at 208 Cherry in Dumas. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Softball Scholarship Fund, co Happy State Bank, 500 S. Dumas Ave, Dumas, Tx. 79029.
