Sharon Grice Blackshear

Sharon Grice Blackshear, 74 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018. Cremation is under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Sharon was born on March 19, 1944 in Santa Cruz, CA to Edwin and Hazel (Combs) Grice. The family moved to Dumas where Sharon would attend school and graduate from Dumas High School with the class of 1963. She went to work for Moore County Road and Bridge Department as a secretary and after retirement worked for the school district as a bus monitor. Sharon enjoyed working in her yard and had a special place in her heart for her dog Lola. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Fred Grice. Sharon leaves behind her daughter: Kari Blackshear of the home; granddaughter: McKenzi Blackshear of Dumas; brothers: Doug Grice and wife Ruth Ann, Trace Grice and wife Robin, all of Dumas; nieces: JaNan Grice, Amy Halinar and Amber Ebert; nephew: Garrett Grice.
