Soylo Cooper, 45 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. The family will receive friends from 6 oclock until 8 oclock on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10 oclock in the morning, mountain standard time, on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Dunn Funeral Home in Tucumcari. Burial will follow in San Jon. Local arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Soylo was born on July 13, 1974 in Tucumcari, NM to Steven Clark and Mary Ann Cordova Cooper. He grew up in Amarillo and attended Palo Duro High School. Soylo moved to Dumas in 2008 to become the manager of United Supermarket, a position he held until 2018 at which time he resigned to further his education in the engineering field. Soylo was a people person who loved to be in the company of others. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was of Christian Faith. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, father and an aunt. Soylo is survived by his sons: Logan and Alex of Missouri; mother: Mary Ann Cordova and husband Manuel Pena of Amarillo, TX; brothers: Chris Cooper and wife Penny of Amarillo, TX, Manuel Navarrete of Denver, CO, Michael Navarrete of Mexico and Tommy Dean Navarrete of Amarillo, TX; his special friend Nubia Ojeda of Dumas, TX and several other extended family members.
