Steven Edward Pauwels, 66, of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Justin Wehunt officiating. Services are entrusted to Beeson-Morrison Funeral Directors.Steve was born on April 8,1955, in Amarillo. His parents were mother, Virginia (Wilmeth) Pauwels, dad and mom, Edward and Alyce Pauwels. Steve made Dumas his home for 50 years and married his wife, Kiki Murphy in August of 1976. He was a fun-spirited person who was the life of the party. He loved to dance, play games, gather with his friends. Steve loved to talk and tell stories. In his younger years, he loved to water ski and he rodeoed riding broncs. Steve worked for Continental Carbon for 20 years until he retired and followed his true passion of raising cattle. Steve was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Steve will be so missed by his family and all who knew him.He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Nikki Pauwels.Steve is survived by his wife, Kiki, of the home, his daughters, Randi Farris and husband, Zack of Bushland, McKenzie Eudy and husband, David of Dumas. He adored his grandchildren, Mason, Kennon, Quaid, Zachary, Avery and Shawn; siblings, Frank Thompson of Arizona, Lynda Osborn and husband, Steve of Oklahoma City, Kevin Pauwels and wife, Vanda of Lubbock, sister-in-laws, Karen and Steve Barker of McKinney, Margaret and Jim White of Brady, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members.The family requests memorials be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd.
