Steven Paul Gill

Steven Paul Gill, 69, of Sunray passed away April 21, 2018. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with David McGaughy, pastor of the church officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Steve was born November 19, 1948 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Shelby and Dorothy Gill. He graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1966 where he was active in 4-H, Tucumcari High School rodeo and then attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces where he also rode bulls and roped calves. He was a veteran of the National Guard. He was a hard-working man where he worked for the local telephone company until his retirement in 2008. He was a devout Sunray Bobcat fan and you could always find him at the hometown football and basketball games. He always enjoyed a good golf game. Steve was a great supportive father and a loving husband; whom was never less than an outstanding gentleman. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons: Brian and Wes; daughter Jenny; and countless loving friends and family.
