Tomasa Perez Serna

Tomasa Perez Serna, 81 of Dumas passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Tomasa was born on March 7, 1939 in San Antonio, TX to Juan Perez and Juanita Suniga. She married Francisco Serna on October 23, 1959; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2020. She was a member of the community since 1968. Tomasa was a very crafty and talented lady. Her family would often find her sewing, quilting, crocheting or tending to her flowers in the garden. Tomasa also loved to make tamales for everyone. She was a member of Rios de Agua Viva Church in Dalhart and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Ricky Serna; and daughter: Sarah Serna. Tomasa is survived by her children: Sylvia Busch and husband Mark, Sally Lucero and husband Alex, Martha Casanova, and Marlo Serna; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
