Tommy Morris

Tommy Morris, 68 of Dumas, formerly of Dalhart, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022.  Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Grace Thru Faith Fellowship with Pastor Jori Buchenau officiating.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart under the direction of Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors.  The family will receive friends from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the evening on Friday at Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors.

Tommy was born on August 26, 1953, in Dalhart, TX to Roy and Nellie Mae (Hancock) Morris.  He grew up in Dalhart and Felt, OK where he graduated high school.  Tommy was instrumental in planting New Life Church in Dalhart, TX where he was later ordained. Tommy was a paramedic and Fire Marshall for the city of Dalhart before going to work for Hilmar Cheese when it opened in 2006.  Tommy worked his way up to the position of Grading Supervisor.  He married Ronda Allison in February of 1999 in Longview, TX.  Tommy loved sports with golf being his favorite.  He also enjoyed going to Texas Rangers baseball games and enjoying a brat dog.  Most importantly, Tommy enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was a member of Grace Thru Faith.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild, Pierre.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Ronda of the home; children: Robert Morris of Amarillo, TX, Doug Morris of Richland MO, Serena Mutzebaugh and husband Josh of Falcon, CO, Ariana Gaddy and husband Justin of Canyon, TX and Cameron Foster of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Cayden, Kenslee, Lydia, Gwen, Sam, Phoebe, Jace and Emberleigh; sister: Terri Griggs and husband Roy of Dalhart, TX, along with numerous other extended family members.
