William Larry Parsons

William Larry Parsons, 80 of Stratford passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, August 16, 2024, at First Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Wardrup, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Larry was born on October 3, 1943, in Dumas, TX to W.C. and Bonnie (Harris) Parsons. He grew up and graduated from Dumas High School. He later went on to Texas Tech University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and became an independent cattle buyer. He married Doris Burnett. Larry was a member of the First Methodist Church in Stratford. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Marie Parsons and Eva Venable; brothers: Eddie Parsons and Joe Parsons.

Larry is survived by his wife: Doris of the home; sons: Thad and wife Liz of Mooreland, OK, Clinton and wife Kim of Hamilton, TX; daughter: Ashley of Amarillo, TX; brother-in-law: Jerry Venable of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Payton Vancleave, Jace and husband Barron Walker, Hutton Parsons, Ethan Parsons, Khloe Parsons, Katelynn Parsons, and Rynn Vancleave; great grandchildren: Juan Rodriguez and Paislee Cowdry.

In lieu of flowers the family requests, with gratitude, memorials be made to Medical Center League House, 7000 Amarillo Blvd West, Amarillo, TX 79106.
